Ihavebeenworkinghardinpursuitofmydoctoraldegreeforthepastoneandahalfyears.WithgreateffortIpassedthequalifyexamthisspringandbecameaPH.Dcandidateatthattime.AlthoughIlivecomfortablyherewithniceprofessorsandwarm-heartedschoolmates,Ican’thelpmissingmyparentsandrelativeswhoalsomissmeverymuch.Duringtheseyears,IhavegonebacktoChinatwiceandstayedwithmyparentsforaround25dayseach，Ithasbeengreatfuntobewiththemandbothofusreallyhaveenjoyedthesehappytimes.IwishIcouldgobackagaininthecomingyears,butIwillstarttodolaboratoryresearchwithmyadvisorbeginningnextsemesterwhichwillnotallowmetodoso.Beingfarfromme,myparentswanttoseehowIliveandworkhereandtheyhavelongbeendreamingaboutcomingtotheU.S.foravisittoo.Therefore,IaminvitingmyparentsaswellasmyaunttovisitmethisMay,sincethatistheonlyfreetimeIwillhavetospend,especiallywiththem.

Mayisagoodtimeformyparentstocomebecausethisiswhenthesummerholidayatxxxbegins.BesidesthisisthemostbeautifulseasonintheU.S.IcanshowthemaroundthegreatcityofChicagoandIplantotravelwiththem,inthiswonderfulseason,toNewYorkCity,FloridaandCaliforniaforholidays.ThiswillbeagreatchanceformyparentstomakesurethatIcantakecareofmyselfhereaswellastogetatasteofAmericanlife.Wearereallyexcitedaboutthisreunion.BecauseIhaveflownbacktwice,myparentswillcoveralltheexpensesthemselvesthistime.
